Gods Time Is The Best

God's delay is not out negligence or ignorance...

One of my favorite stories is the one about Lazarus, a follower of Jesus whom He loved and her sisters Mary and Martha [John 11]. We learnt from the scripture that Jesus had a good relationship with Mary and Martha, that He would even pay them a visit at home and spend quality time with the sisters.

There came a time when Lazarus whom He loved was sick and his sisters sent for Jesus. One would have expected that Jesus as wonderful as He is and the love He has for Lazarus and his sisters that He would leave whatever He is doing and go straight to Lazarus' house but you'll be surprised at His response...

Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it." [John 11:4] 5.Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. So when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more days,7 and then he said to his disciples, Let us go back to Judea."

Quite interesting that the first reaction from Jesus was a declaration of His desires on the end point of the situation and a questionable and ridiculous delay of His visit.

I know many of you would be asking why on earth will He stay two more days where He was before visiting His sick friend and attending to his sisters?

Well, your answer is here...

Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,”

declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

It is important you understand the first response or declaration from Jesus above (in John 11:4), the sickness will not end in death but for the purpose of God's Glory.

I want you to know that God's delay is not out of negligence or ignorance but He is only waiting for that Glorified ground-breaking breakthrough in His time.

Always remember God's time is the best. He loves you so much that He has said He will never to leave you nor forsake you [Deut. 31:6]. You are too precious to be abandoned.

Oh come on, He sent His Son to us and did not spare His own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

What He did in the case of Lazarus and his sisters was to show them a new dimension of breakthrough they have never experienced before. So let this mind be in you that whenever you are faced with delay you don't understand why, keep praying and trusting God. He will come through.

For Mary and Martha it was the time for resurrection power show-off. He needed to show them on His CV that He has experience in raising the dead. lol

I hope you're blessed with this piece. God bless you all.
