Marriage, the only university you receive your certificate without any test or examination.

Marriage is not only a spiritual institution where the applicants are required to enroll at the table of our Lord God [creator of heaven & earth] before starting out the journey but also requires unlearning wrong thoughts/believes and learning how the relationship between Jesus and the Church began and how Jesus expressed His love to the point of dying for the whole world before you embark on the journey. Ouch! I might have stepped on someone's toe.
Marriage is a spiritual institution designed by God and it's not for everyone except for those ready to abide by the principles and guidelines stipulated in the Bible. If you don't have a relationship with God -The Father, through His one and only Son Jesus Christ, there is no point going into such institution.
This is because the founder/creator of marriage put together a set of teachings, principles and guidelines for successful marriage in the Bible and He knows the end from the beginning; He designed marriage with a clear purpose - companionship between man and woman to reproduce after His kind or lifestyle - raising Godly families. [Gen 1:27-28]
Family is the first institution of a society and we must be ready to raise godly families with the right values of life.
It's funny how many people think they can rely on their own understanding about marriage and be successful in it.
its very simple, if you are not ready to abide by the principles of marriage as God laid it out, don't bother going into it because such relationship is bound to fail.
Imagine this simple marriage principle for example; Ephesians 5: 22-23, 24-27
Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.
Although the husband and wife are of equal spirit created by God, but their roles and responsibilities are different just as their build and design are different (as you can see in the passage above.)
I know this is a very controversial topic but in my view, I don't think a debate is necessary when it comes to divine marriage principles, it's either you humble yourself and follow the God ordained principles or don't dabble into it as it will only lead to more problems.
In conclusion, marriage doesn't make you complete, Christ does. There is no marriage in heaven, we are all going to be like angels when we go to be with the Lord [Mark 12:25]. It's better to stay single and live a purposely life than to get into marriage and become a nuisance because you refuse to follow the principles of marriage.
