Why speak in parables, just come out straight

Many have asked the reason why Jesus often spoke in parables. Did it make the story more interesting? Was he trying to show off His wonderful wisdom? Maybe His Father taught him to speak in parables? Or maybe a lack of words to express his messages, so speaking in parables made it easier?
I would have expected a simple answer from Jesus, but I don't think He made it any easier for His listeners. His response was...
"Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them" [Matthew 13:11-12 NIV]
I believe Jesus knew that many people would not understand his parables at first, unless questions are asked with the eagerness to learn and the desire for true knowledge.
Could it be the reason why the Bible sometimes seems like a novel to some people (unbelievers)? And why those who have the gift of the Holy Spirit, have a better chance of understanding the word of God. That is if they ask Him for interpretation or clarification and meditate on his words. [Psalm 1]
The Kingdom of God is a mystery and many will not understand unless they have a relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.
Beloved, there are secrets of the kingdom of heaven as Christ says and it's only revealed to those who have come to know Him and thereby received the Holy Spirit.
Remember, what no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived—the things God has prepared for those who love him— these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. [1 Cor 2:9].
"Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them"
Whoever has knowledge and wisdom will be given more because the more you seek, you find. Not the wisdom of the world but Jesus Himself, who is the Wisdom of God [1 Cor 1:30], which leads to living a life of abundance. He has come to give you life and life more abundantly [John 10:10].
And for those who don't have, even what they have will be taken from them. Hope you know He is not saying He will be the one to take from you but every good gift comes from the Father above and we already know who came to steal, kill and destroy - the devil [John 10:10].
Do not give the devil a foothold in your life, don't put yourself in a vulnerable position where he (devil) can devour you or toss you here and there like a pendulum.
Your life is very precious and you were bought with a price. God loves you dearly.
The best thing that can happen to anyone is to hear the word of his creator and put it into practice. Spend time in the word of God and you will see your mind renewed on daily basis and also experience the peace of God that transcends all understanding.
Stay blessed beloved.
